Why Settle for Crumbs When You Can Have The Whole Cake?!

*sighs* . . .Okay so this is my 2nd blog post and its not what I intended to talk about but whatever..Im not in a relationship nor am I a counselor, but I just had to vent; kinda sorta! . . .

Next month marks 2 years since my last and 1st REAL relationship and I must admit; that relationship taught me EVERYTHING I needed to know and more. Nonetheless, being out of the game for a minute, I've been able to observe many friends and relationships and the situations that come with it which has been a movie to say the least. But one particular thing I have noticed is that in todays time; our generation; we dont have relationships or date oppose to how it was 20 or maybe 30 years ago.

Now, we have UNDERSTANDINGS. I dont know what it is in the water, but the game has done a complete 180. And our young women are beginning to settle for crumbs instead of having the whole cake!!. But you have to know what you want and stick to it! Men arent mind readers not to mention partially s l o w so you have to tell them what it is you want.. .Call it greedy but I dont care. Now im not gonna sit here and say I havent settled before, BUT I had to quickly stop and slap myself and ask 'What the hell am I doing'. . .I was about to fall in the cracks just like the rest. I was taught to have standards and requirements and I am NO Chilli so they are REALISTIC, so why should I have to settle??? But thats neither here nor there.

Ive learned that we as young women have to have mental stability when it comes to relationships && for some of you, you dont always have to have a man! The time that you arent w/ anyone, thats time for YOU to work on YOU. Because honestly, how can you work on 2 when you cant even handle 1? . . .Im just saying because some people just arent getting it!. Another thing I wanted to add is: A Closed Mouth Doesnt Get Fed and you will never know something until you ask!. . .remember the saying No Question is a Dumb Question?. . .Well its true because every question has an answer -- We always go wrong with assumptions. Having a true understanding you cant go wrong. . Whats the worst that can happen??

However, this was just an appetizer to my dinner I am gonna serve up with this discussion but it shall be continued when Im not heading to work... Lets Call It Food For Thought -- Until next time, have a satisfying week. Enough is not always enough. Do something that makes you feel good :)

A Mind Is a Terrible Thing To Waste COM236

Growing up as a child I was a reader. I loved to read. From the back of the cereal boxes, magazines, and even our countless VHS tapes; I had it in my hand, eyes glued. Before, I use to think it was unscutable for me to read so much, but as I got older, I realized and learned that it was a great trait to have [which made me feel better]. . .
As I was in high school, I was 2 years away from my graduation and I had NO clue as to what I wanted to do with my life afterward! Kinda backwards huh. . .But thats neither here nor there. . . So anyway to make a long story short Im a lover of books and exercising the mind to think beyond average and because of that, during that time until graduation, I read 5 books that not only helped me define life from different aspects, but to also help me find my noble purpose. So to be nice, I wanted to share my Top 5 Must Reads that helped me and that could help you too =)
